I have been meeting with clients on Zoom and Skype since the start of the Covid pandemic, usually on a weekly basis. I have found that having a regular time and day works best though I have a degree of flexibility if unexpected circumstances occur.
My fee for self-funding clients is £80 per session though I have a limited number of meeting times where I offer a reduced rate. This will depend on your income. I ask that payment be made by bank transfer after each session. I also see people who have health insurance where I invoice the insurer directly. I am registered with all of the main health insurers including Aviva, AXA Health, BUPA, Vitality and Aetna Global Benefits.
In the absence of exceptional circumstances, full payment will be required for missed sessions unless you give me at least 24 hours’ notice. I will then try to find an alternative time for you that week. If I cannot find an alternative, or the alternative that I offer is not convenient for you, then it will be treated as a missed session and full payment will be expected. Health insurers will not usually pay for missed sessions.
I am bound by The Health and Care Professions standards of conduct performance and ethics and The British Psychological Society code of ethics and conduct. In May 2018, the law changed with regard to how organizations have to protect your personal details and records, and produce a Privacy Notice. This is called the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
